Spiritual Inspiration & Heritage

Hazrat Khwaja Yunus Ali (R) (1886 – 1952)

Hazrat Khwaja Yunus Ali

Hazrat Khwaja Yunus Ali (R), affectionately revered throughout the subcontinent as the Great Saint of Enayetpur (Enayetpuri Huzur), devoted his earthly life to spiritual enlightenment, ethical conduct, and unconditional benevolence towards the sick, impoverished, and marginalized.

He envisioned Enayetpur not merely as a rural settlement on the riverbanks of the Jamuna, but as a fountainhead of knowledge, morality, and humanitarian healthcare. His timeless philosophy that "Service to humanity is the highest devotion to the Creator" remains the foundational compass for Khwaja Yunus Ali University and all affiliated institutions.

Architect of Modern Enayetpur

Dr. M. M. Amjad Hussain (1925 – 2012)

Dr. M. M. Amjad Hussain

Dr. M. M. Amjad Hussain was a pioneering industrialist in Bangladesh's pharmaceutical sector, eminent philanthropist, and devoted spiritual follower of Hazrat Khwaja Yunus Ali (R). As the founder of Drug International Limited and Chairman of the Khwaja Yunus Ali Memorial Trust, Dr. Hussain channeled his wealth and visionary zeal into building enduring institutional legacies.

Uncompromising in his vision to bring highest-tier tertiary medicine and science to the rural heartlands, he founded the 1,000-bed Khwaja Yunus Ali Medical College & Hospital (KYAMCH), followed by the Nursing College, Laboratory School & College, and ultimately Khwaja Yunus Ali University (KYAU).

"My dream was never to build commercial towers in the capital, but to bring world-class healthcare, science, and university education to the people of the riverbanks where hope is needed most." — Dr. M. M. Amjad Hussain
